“Violent crime” is inversely related to poverty, and it’s not the issue here. It’s nutjobs that are isolated from society and go crazy without anyone doing anything to help them.
That isolation and atomization is a new thing. We will probably ban AR-15s in an attempt to stop them (though of course for leftists it will really be to de-fang the people), but it won’t stop. It will accelerate as society continues to fall apart.
And you’re being willfully obtuse if you don’t think that realistic, violent, murderous role play is a part of what enables these people to go out in real life and act in a way that humans have never acted before.

Do you think that the availability of any type of porn you want at your fingertips affects anything? Because rape has plummeted in the era of internet porn.
Also, the bolded is almost certainly not true. This is no more or less barbaric than the myriad forms of barbarity which humans have always committed.

John Donne once wrote that "no man is an island, entire of itself." That's no longer true. Technology has given men and women the ability to be completely isolated from the real world. People talk about banning guns, but you'd most certainly have less of these shootings if IPhones and IPads never existed.

Yea I heard that Jack the Ripper never would’ve killed all of those women had the not learned that behavior from beating up hookers on GTA V. People are violent, always have been, always will be. To act like violent mass murders against innocent people are some new behavior is being willfully obtuse.
