a mass causality incident, which means at least 20 people have been injured.
Is this a real thing....because it has me pretty damn confused. I get that there are 20 people injured and I can't find any confirmed deaths as of yet (hopefully there are 0).
The word causality obviously isn't used correctly here.....but it would seem the term casualty wouldn't be right either.
I just hope everyone is OK here and no one has actually died.

If at least 20 people have been shot but not one has died, that would be a miracle.

It is used correctly here... A causality doesn't necessarily equate deaths.

Casualty can be used in two senses. One is to define someone killed or injured (or otherwies unavailable for duty) in an armed conflict and one to show a person was affected by an event.
