Clean or no? Fish populations?

Everything you own will get covered in dust. Dealing with flooding is a huge pain in the arse. Had a few bad high water years in a row, so a lot of camps available right now. But when conditions are right you will get tired of catching fish. As a bonus Lake Mary has the best sunsets on planet earth.

It’s a beautiful place but it’s very prone to flooding. My close friend has a camp there. If the flooding is bad you won’t have access for possibly weeks or months at a time. When you return you may have to rebuild. Several of their neighbors aren’t as high as they are and flood quite often. There were quite a few places for sale the last time I looked.
We’ve been a few times and when it’s right the water is crystal clear and perfect for tubing/skiing.

I stand corrected. I grew up going out there and have never seen it that clear. you must have gotten lucky.

If you can get access to Fosters then you will catch fish.
Other than that the only times you can catch fish are when it's flooded and you can find some runouts in the backwater. You can murder the bass then. Other than that not much of anything in the main lake.

I remember as a kid some trips where we killed them back on some stream/canal to the east. One trip we kept 40 bass in a couple hours on white humdingers. Bring it over a log and they would hit it every time.
We would go way back there until it got real narrow. Sometimes had to push the boat over lay downs blocking the canal. Thunderstorm caught us one day and we had to take refuge under someone's hunting camp that was right near the bank.

The road in in an adventure and not for women and children. 4x4 is a must more than not.
