Jaray Jenkins to corner?

Read a article i believe it was Sec country about wr who could possibly make the switch to cb. Talked about Jaray playing cb in high school. If Jaray would be down with i damn sure would. He certainly has the speed and hips to play it. Also loves to hit. Seen him play it in high school and he played very well there.

With the log jam at wide receiver he might be willing to make the switch.

His speed is average, but he has everything else you are looking for in terms of length, athleticism, strength.

I would move him if Fulton doesn't make it back. Otherwise, we should be fine with 5 corners.

What makes you say this? This past thread on him said he ran a 10.8 100m.

tigerfan63, where do you live in CenLa?

If Ed Paris is being granted another year, then I would move him back to CB from Safety.

I've spent a lot of time and lived in Pollock and my wife is from there, too. Is the Gotta Go still there in Jena?

I keep him at WR unless injuries dictate otherwise.
O needs to beat bushes for a 1 year grad transfer at corner and RB.
Have no idea if that is realistic but that's first step imo.

Trust development to:
Corey Raymond, Dave Aranda
Or
Chef Boyardee, Sir Chomps a lot, and the Gorton’s fisherman
Tough decision.

If he's willing, I think it would be good move for him. At least try him out. Ideal frame with ball skills, toughness and all the athleticism you'd want. I believe he will suprise some with his speed but he doesnt need elite speed to play corner. Its a plus not a necessity.

tigerfan63 - what about jenkins' injury to his tibia? Is that a fixable recovery? Does he have enough size to play legit corner? Is he the answer as a return man? I know he was good in H.S.

I don't think so. We will be 2 deep. Not many teams have more than 5 SEC caliber corners.

Frickin’ Surtain!!!! Hurts, man! Now we’re gonna have to figure out how to beat bama and their heisman Mongolian QB with a skeleton patchwork crew of people being converted from their natural positions!!! I HATE this!!!
I hope and pray they find definitive proof that little runt has been giving these guys they’ve robbed from us all kinds of money and perks and wenches and they bury him so deep he has to retire in shame and with a BIG OL asterisk by his name! Recruiting used to be so fun to follow, but in recent years I’ve come to fully expect us to get our butts handed to us when all the chips hit the table.
Ok... I’m done. For now....

I think for sure he would be good at corner. These are talented guys and Jenkins played corner in HS, give him a little while and He will be a good one, IMO.
