Willie Fritz cashes in the best recruit class in over a decade..maybe one of the best ever

24/7 = 66th, 3rd in AAC
Rivals = 64th, 4th AAC
This isn't to point out Tulane's overall successes though; even though, they only had to sign 3 players on Wednesday, as all the others committed in December.
Here are 3 top 1000 players that Tulane beat LSU out on:
Jeffery Johnson, DT from Brookhaven, MS
La'Dedric Jackson, OLB from Montgomery, AL
Nik Hogan, DE from Flowood, MS
LSU offered each of these players. Save your breath, though. I fully understand the process of offering, but LSU concluded the day 2 short. I know that was "by design".
The point of this post is to show that for the first time in a very long time, Tulane is trending way up. Tulane, in fact, made the largest jump in rankings from 2017 to 2018 (+46), as they were #112 in 24/7's 2017 rankings.
And, our Tigers are trending...tbd

I consider myself a program supporter. And, minus DBU not signing a single CB or a much needed QB, our recruit class is not bad at all. In fact, anywhere from #9-#15 are relatively the same ranking based on points.
I was just pointing out some facts...that lowly Tulane tore it up in 2018 recruiting.

by comparison, it would have been impossible for LSU to trend up to the level of Tulane. But dropping from the #7 to the #14 class isn't comparable to jumping from #112 to #66. Dropping 7 spots is the difference of a couple players. Jumping 60+ spots is the difference of an entire class.
