NOT 1 fan wants to see LSU fail! Just bc some are critical of O, including myself, celebrate failure! You are confusing "We told you" with celebration...that's on you! I can fully support LSU and be critical, how some of you don't understand this is beyond me. Do you never self evaluate? Do you ignore weak area?
Can you really say that O is an elite coach? I wanted Miles fired, just didn't expect a complete abomination of a Coaching search and Hire. CEO wouldn't have been hired at ULM, bad example, they probably would have. but you get my point! Anyone with common sense, doesn't predict or expect undefeated seasons and NC every year, but I do expect an elite program like LSU to compete for them. When comparing O to Saban, Mullen, smart, fisher, malzahn, where does O rank? LSU had its easiest schedule in years and lost 4 games! Next years schedule is brutal!! I expect losses, hope to be surprised. But At this point, I feel that a train wreck is coming next year! you will probably post this time next year and say, NEXT YEAR!!

Speculation. You don't know anything for certain, and neither do I.
What I can tell you is that prior to the real nosedives we've taken in the past, it did not happen before recruiting went in the toilet. This class- despite all the moaning- isn't close to the level I'm talking about.
But whatever.

But...so long as there are folks whose JOB it is to come here and prop up the current HC
You prove my point. I aint propping up the current HC. Hes probably subpar and I agree that he hasnt been a successful HC in his life. But I aint gonna sit here knocking the guy every 2 seconds. When he does something stupid I'll call him out. When he loses to Troy I'll call him out. When he goes 6-2 in the SEC I'll praise him.
But I'm a real fan, not some punk B****. I'm hoping Coach O does big things cuz I love the university. I'm not gonna cheer for losses or de-commitments. After all, that happens everywhere.

Wrong again. I have seen posts that have said exactly that from supposed fans- that it would be better to lose out and recycle the staff. That is wishing for failure.
But again, whatever.

Sorry, but no. Let me lay it out.
We replaced Nick Saban who had brought LSU back to the national stage and won 2 SEC titles and a NC with what many considered a mediocre hire and the time based on his career coaching record of 28-21 at Ok St. However, he went on to have the greatest run in LSU history winning 2 SEC titles, a NC and playing for a 2nd while amassing 114 wins.
We replace him with a man with a career head coaching record of 10-25 in the hopes that his two separate stints as an interim where he won 6 games twice was an indication he was up for the job...and our fans rejoice! Did we suddenly stop caring about resumes or was there some other factor that allowed LSU fans to look past their desire to actually go out and find a qualified, proven winning coach to lead the program?
That's the very definition of misdirection. This isn't 1980 where we DID literally have to beg a former Tiger, Jerry Stoval, to step up and take over a program reeling after the death of Bo Rein and in the off season with no way to fix it. We essentially fired Les Miles in November of 2015 and then had nearly all of 2016 to vet EVERY coach in America only to hand the reigns to Orgeron in November of 2016 after "the search" resulted in tapping our very own DL coach and his 10 & 25 record...and we have people suggesting that after Jimbo and Herman we were fricked and it was Orgeron or no one. Hol-E-frick.
Oh...we also just fired an up and coming OC (who Orgeron himself hired and touted) in favor of promoting our TE's coach to a position he has not held for 20 years.
If that kind of program running isn't mismanagement, than I'm not sure what would rise to that level.

That's precisely what's been happening. It's not my fault the guy can't go 3 days without fricking something up.

No true Scotsman fallacy. I've followed LSU Football religiously since I was 12 in 1982 and had personal season tickets since 2001 which I won;t give up for anything (even though I realize it's selfish and I'm ultimately part of the problem.)
I'm a fan. We disagree about how to handle the current situation. The end.

You need to calm down and apologize right now.

So you are admitting that Miles left O plenty of talent to work with.
Everybody knows that o was given a team loaded with talented football players. At least anyone with a brain and who's paying attention.
It's just the diehard o supporters that continue to push the false narrative that the teams depth was depleted.

I actually had a poster tell me that the majority of lsu players and good programs are 3 star players.
and we all remember the plethora of lsu posters that to thks day this troy and miss st are more talented than lsu.

the OP's argument is so tiresome.
I don't think O is the right man to lead our program, so I want him gone asap before we enter more of a death spiral. Now, I'll be rooting like hell for us next year, but if we play terrible and drop a few games, I'd rather we tank the rest of the season and get rid of O faster, rather than let him linger for a few more years -- which will end up hurting the program longer.
Sometimes short term pain is required for long term gain -- and this applies not only to LSU football, but to most things in life.
