Will O go down as the most hated LSU HC in history in the end?

All signs are pointing to yes in my book. Curley Hallman ran this baby into the ground, but the interest level and connection level wasn’t near what it is now days. Also Les was loved by just about everyone, just couldn’t get over his coaching antics ImO.

Yeah because he followed Les.

Luckily for him he can right the ship this upcoming season.
Wouldn't you like to have that opp in your professional life should you for whatever reason get in some deep water?
I would.

He has a really tall task at hand. If he gets through that schedule alive I would be very surprised

Hey, Ed. Good to see you remembered your login info from before you got on at Ole Miss to run their program into the ground.

Me too.
Doesn't make it less of a possibility though.
I didn't have a problem with any teams game prep last year.
We looked prepared and played hard.
Defense will be solid next year and if we can get good qb play and stay healthy we'll be solid football team.

If he trends downward with recruiting classes and can't compete for championships, the offense continues to underperform with his choice of coordinator like Les did...yes. At least Les is considered a man of integrity. CEO comes off as a Snake Oil Salesman who will say anything to get his way. I think people are starting to see it. He had Myles Brennan as a commitment and started saying shite like "you have to have a duel threat quarterback to compete in today's game." He then threw his kickers under the bus when he said that they have to recruit a kicker, and it goes on and on. Les may have spoken weird, had the worst clock management skills in the world, was too loyal to coaching friends to a fault but will always be looked at favorably in history. CEO will not I'm afraid.

I'll also add this...I jumped ship when Miles lost to Wisconsin and didn't switch quarterbacks. I cautioned the Rant that this could very well end up like Tennessee firing Fulmer and going down the toilet. With Aleva as AD, that very well may be the case. We shall see.

Orgergon inherited a MUCH better caliber team than Hallman did. Curley took over when LSU was coming off back to back seasons with losing records. Orgeron took over a program that spend most of the past 15 years ranked in the top 10-15, been in 3 national championship games, signed top 10 recruiting classes every year, and put more players in the NFL than anyone besides Bama during that span.

No, he’ll be a footnote in history.
When he’s gone, we will make a big hire and turn things around.

Yes because O has taken over a solid program. Hallman took over for Archer, who honestly should be the most hated because Archer inherited a damn strong football team who just won the SEC, and destroyed it.
But Coach O has made very strange decisions since taking over as head coach, and this bizarre comment of "Signing 23 players was the plan all along" says to me he is insecure about his job because deep down he knows he is extremely unqualified. If he does not improve this season, he will be the most hated coach in LSU history.

Huh?
We were abysmal and undisciplined at Mississippi State and quite obviously mailed it in the week of the Troy game.

when Curley was the coach we didn't have social media like we do today. so you can't compare the two

Unless we start having multiple losing seasons, it’ll always be Curly for me.

Easily. It's not that he's incompetent, it's that he's incompetent on top of being a scumbag.
