Please note: Alleva is not going anywhere. Neither is F King Alexander
He has to. I thought Arky made a mistake literally not firing Bielema and Long together, mid-season (to get recruiting in order).
They at least did Long first to prevent scapegoating, make the decision process better, etc.
We should take that a learn from it.
Without firing at least Alleva, it's all for naught. Too bad it will be a delayed action due to financials being impacted first.

The money aspect is the major issue. They aren’t paying another buyout, or 2 for Alleva. 7-5 with next year’s schedule wouldn’t get him fired
Alleva makes $725k a year and his contract expires in June of 2019. Buying out the remaining 6 months and $400k that would be left on Alleva's contact by the end of football season is a non-issue.

I rather keep O so long as he can finish 8-5, 7-6 and haul in a recruiting class in the late teens, that let Alleva take another shot at this.
Why? It’s nit like he can do much worse than he did last time.

I agree. Oeux must geaux. If he finishes 8-5 or 7-6 I'll gladly help him load up his uhaul.

Keeping Alleva and O may cost the program more than paying their buyouts.
Lets get a clearer picture of this "LSU cant afford to fire anyone" narrative.
Football #s(2015/16, first numbers I found)
Ticket Sales
$38.9M
Donations
$22.5M
Should Corch O be fired today it would cost LSU $12M.
Should Alleva be fired today it would cost LSU ~$2M.
Thats $14M in buyouts to purge LSU of this scourge.
Cost/Benefit? That means it would require as little as a 36% drop in attendance for LSU to take losses from this shitshow that would cause them to break even in buyout payments.
Or in a real scenario, lets call it a 30% drop in donations and only a 17% drop in attendance. This doesnt even factor-in the residual affects to other sports and the academics that the football program help support. LSU football is an economic engine for the University.
This is why so many so-called "negatigers" here are telling everyone to cut their donations, dont renew their season tickets and stop going to games and buying licensed merchandise. It really wouldnt take much of dent for this to happen. The buyouts arent prohibitive.
Be the change you wish to see in Tiger Stadium.

My BOS buddy says F King is retiring in May/june

0 never should have been HC. So, yes I wanted him gone before he started. Joe Alleva as well, but that brings us to the real problem. LSU is being sabotaged by its 'leaders'. How else to explain the repeated self-defeating decisions?

You are a special kind of stupid if you think shrimp boat will go 8-5 next year.

Besides hiring O in the first place, the next biggest mistake was putting any buyout in a contract for a coach that no one else wanted or would want. You make O give back money if he is fired you do not put any buyout in a contract with the fricking Rosy Finch Boyz
Seriously, why would anyone put a buyout in there for O?
