You're so full of crap. Doubt you even served. It's idiotic to even try and tie military service to a football program. Anyone who does deserves nothing. The problem isn't some message board that can't even make the 'LSU message boards melting' article. The problem is Alleva wrecking the football program by going cheap. Putting this on Coach O's ability to do anything at an elite level is where we are now. He has no elite ability to coach or even recruit. He's a clueless arse who thinks because he's in the job he earned it. Alleva gave him this job because he's even more incompetent than O. He never should have landed the job he's in. After the Duke Lacrosse fiasco, he shouldn't have landed a job in any athletic dept. I gave the Ogre a chance but this year has shown how incompetent he is as does this recruiting year. Welcome to incompetent LSU football. Unfortunately, we're paying top price for this circus.

Again. You’re trying to compare war to college sports. Nobody is at risk of not getting back to their families alive here.
Just admit it. He’s a shitty coach and if something isn’t done he’ll drive our program into the ground.
Acting all high and mighty because you served in the military doesn’t make people respect you more. It has quite the opposite effect.

This is really a bad thread. I re-read the OP and just wanted to say that.
Lesson for All: before you start a thread with an OP presenting illogical and semi-coherent thoughts because you are upset with some people, take pause and give it more thought. Maybe revise your post.
On another note: Why are many LSU football fans a bit discouraged? It's because they know that a rigorously professional head coaching search was not conducted. They know that the LSU football "powers that be" do not approach the objective of being The Best with the same fervor as that felt by the Fans. And, finally, some of them are resigned to the notion that this will never change.
"Why have a football program???", you ask? Well, LSU makes good money from football. That is the objective of the "powers that be". That is the main reason to have it.
Fans and Fanatics have other aspirations for the program, but, they don't run the show.

I don't understand all the bickering about the coaches, anything that is said on the rant doesn't mean squat to the people in charge, just face it the coaches will be here for at least 2 more years , so all we can do is just sit back and see how this all plays out.
