Pretty much. It was a systems test and they needed kg to test it with. It could have been anything, they chose a car. Whatever it was they didn’t want be too important because the risk of loss was high.

I think this is why people hate on the Musk fanboys. The guy needed simple weight to simulate a payload so he threw a car in there and everyone starts sucking his cock and calling him a genius.
