Yeah, that excuse that Belichick was going with really doesn't make much of sense. I haven't followed the situation super closely or anything, but it does kind of seem like they have whipped around Butler for the last couple of years and then when he inevitably got disgruntled they shamed him. I don't know how Butler has been handled through the playoffs, but it would be interesting to hear.

I like this schtick when he's winning. But when he's losing, he's gonna get called out for it. He can really come across as an arrogant prick.

Yeah he benched Moss when he was having the best season in receiver history.
BB loves only one thing - total control of the players.
Didn't do him any favors tonight. Players could be themselves.
Pats looked so "Stepford Wives" and controlled and conservative (where's the deep threat bomb?????) - there was no athletic imagination. Just a bunch of passes by try hard guys.
BB is obsessed by yes men. He almost didn't hire Randy Moss becuase Randy didn't kiss his arse and Randy gave him Bill Belichick his BEST season ever. All Randy Moss. They could have dominated for years but BB is such a control freak that he took away the guy that made Brady a superstar that year.

like Al Michaels said, it was probably easier to get news out of East Germany when the Wall was up than it is to get news out of the Patriots.
