Dude needs to take control when it's there. Best shooter on the team and he gives up the ball way to much.

He's got the Quaterman blank face. I seent it. He is so slow off the picks. Dude laying some eggs lately. Disappointing.

His shot isn’t falling. Doesn’t have anything to do with his passing.

LSU Rant "Fan" in a nutshell!

Team or Player does well (perfect), then everything's great. First sign of non-perfection and it's Bail City!

Sadly typical.

Too short to guard the 3.

He's a freshman, he's hit a bit of a wall (and even admitted as much)... Comparing him to TQ who just couldn't give a shite his final season here isn't really fair

This ain't a first sign num nutz. He's a shooter. You don't care about another miss, you don't think about missing. He had open looks and passed instead when we are down by 15 or closing gap at 6 down. Get your shooter the ball. He should want the ball. Period.

I don’t remember exactly what combination we had on the floor that got the 13 point lead down to 6 at the 12:08 mark of the second half. All I know is Tremont Waters wasn’t on the court at the time. He entered after that timeout and played the rest of the game if I’m not mistaken and we lost by 20. I don’t know why wade never went back to that combination that made the run but he didn’t.

I like Waters’ feistiness and his ability to see the court. But there are some athletic teams (like the last two we’ve played) that are neutralizing his game and it is proving detrimental to the team’s ability to score the ball offensively. And despite his propensity to steal the ball, he is getting pushed around on defense, driven on and shot over.

We’ve given up 26 3-pointers in the last 2 games and many of those are because of dribble penetration on our guards where players have to leave their man open for a 3.

And they’re not missing.

Its not about this year. As cliche as it sounds we gotta give WW time. Dude walked into an empty cupboard and a cluster that JJ left him. Let his class come in and lets see. He has us in the right direction

This freshman excuse is overplayed. He should be more focused and leading as a point. The most emotion out of this team is when WW bout to get t'd up.

Or how about when the other team is going straight in with no lube, you send a message with some aggressive play/foul if needed. This team lacks chemistry and enthusiasm.

I see a guy that doesn't stack up athletically, after looking very athletic earlier in the year. I'm going to choose to believe that's fatigue, though I do think he played over his head a little earlier in the year. He will be alright, he's being asked to do to much right now but where else are you going to go? I would like to see them use him off ball a little more, but I'm not sure if having him constantly moving running off screens and such will solve the fatigue factor. Finally, there is room for growth in terms of basketball IQ. I see a guy that was always the king of the hill growing up so he never really needed to learn the mental part of the game. He can get a lot better with how he attacks the coverages he sees, particularly in the PnR. That aspect of his game will come. He will probably struggle the rest of the year but I'm excited to see how he does next season when the team doesn't have to lean on him as much.

He's not overly quick so now that teams are keying on him he's struggling to get open looks. His defense needs a lot of work too.

But he's still the most talented guy on the team and I expect him to be a good one for us.

Agree totally we just don’t have enough other players who can get their own. Waters needs to be taking at least 15-20 shots per game, he had 8 tonight with under 3 minutes to go and the game in the bag.

Yep, and he'll be much improved when we have other good players around him like Smart, Reid, etc.

Maybe he hit the freshman wall a bit too early because he's had to carry the team. Or maybe he'll turn it around and finish strong.

theres no such thing as the "freshman wall". There's a "rookie wall" in the NBA, but that's due to the huge number of games, 41 games on the road, 3 games a week, with some back-to-backs.

The freshman excuse doesn't fly in college basketball.

Oh I see. Ok. So road games in the SEC are just like high school.
