It really irks me seeing all these panelists asking if the Cavs now have enough to defeat the Warriors. The Warriors aren’t playing that good right now. How bout giving the Rockets some love?

Houston is the most disrespected and ignored big city team in all of professional sports and it's not even close.

Every time the Rockets are on national TV, if they win, its about how bad the other team is, if they lose or are losing, its about how good the other team is.

I think it was Christmas day when the Rockets played OKC, during the half time show the ESPN guys didn't mention the Rockets once, not a single time and it was a about a 5 point game or so. The halftime show was about 20 minutes long too.

The game the other night against the Cavs where they won by 30+? It was all about the Cavs drama and LeBron etc.. Rockets were a mere afterthought.

That’ll change when LeBron joins the Rockets next year.

I think most of it is due to James Harden's game not appealing to the casual fan, so the media doesn't give as much attention to the Rox. He's the third or fourth best player in the league, but he's not flashy, and casual fans love big dunks and mean mugging.

They also have been third or fourth in the pecking order in the West behind the spurs, warriors, and thunder (save last year).

When they make the conf finals this year and scare GS they'll get more recognition.

Man, you got some sort of complex.

Almost every legitimate NBA analyst has Houston pegged firmly as the second best team in the NBA. They aren't getting put over the Warriors until they prove something. The Warriors are the best team of all time. The Rockets are led by two guys, one of which has earned a reputation for choking in the playoffs, and another who has earned a reputation for never getting his teams anywhere meaningful in the playoffs. I'm not a fan of the hot take/overreactions to players, but Harden and Paul (Both of whom I like as players), have sort of rightfully earned those reputations. I'm not picking those guys anywhere close to GS until they show something.

Dafuq? We're right down the road from y'all, second biggest city in TX, and the rest of the country acts shocked that we keep trying to get an NFL, MLS, or MLB team. Barkley has had his "big ol' San Antonio women" schtick going for like 15 years now

Y'all beat us on Christmas on national TV like 3 out of 4 years and every time y'all got your knobs slobbed gratuitously. Even the year we went on to win the title, it was all about how y'all were finally turning the corner. Hell, the last game we played, they were going on and on about how one of them was a huge oilers fan back in the day and how awesome it was (while SA was making a run).

Y'all aren't special when it comes to that. We beat them with our B-squad and zero people talked about how well they played. It was all CLE drama.

I realize every sports fan feels like their town/squads don't get enough respect, but come on, the martyr routine from houstonfan is a little pathetic
