Community Coffee K-Cups - **Updated Solution in OP**

***UPDATE: I called Keurig’s corporate line and they told me the issue has to do with the water. Said it occurs all over. Their solution is for me to buy bottled water and use only that to brew coffee. All I can think of is how much more $$ I have to spend to make one cup of coffee. ***
*****UPDATE 2: It’s been 3+ months, and the bottled water solution did the trick. Still pretty ticked off about it though since BTR is supposed to be high quality. Baffles me why this thing needs bottled water to work.
I bought the latest and greatest Keurig this past Christmas to replace our 8 year old one. And right off the bat, it kept plugging up and putting coffee grounds in our mugs. I took it back assuming I had bought a lemon, got a new one, and STILL have the same problem!
I’ve done all the cleaning steps and also tried other brand K-cups. And after some thought, I’m leaning towards the conclusion maybe the Community Coffee K-cups have a defect.
Any other OT Keurig owners notice this issue?

Just get the filter cup and put coffee in it. Problem solved.

Kirkland pacific bold from Costco. Do yourself a favor.

I use them almost every day in a Keurig with no issues

I didn’t either with the previous model. It’s the new model that is having the issue. What model are you using?

Keurig sucks, baw. Get a real coffee maker.
So edgy. Bet you burnt your lip on your coffee because you drank it before it was cool.

I don't necessarily get grounds overflowing, but it takes forever for the CC cups to fill up a 8 oz cup of coffee.
For better or worse, I think the CC cups are over-filled

Had a single cup keurig for 5 years and never had any issue.

yep, I have had the same issue...it happens on one keurig but not on the other...and we use community in the keurig at work and have never had an issue with it.

Yes, happened a few months ago with a newer Keurig and cups bought from Sam's at Cortana. Cleared up the next month and always worked in older Keurigs. The trick to getting it to work in the newer one was to push the cup down before lowering the lid.

The newer ones puncture the bottom as well and the cups with the issue had the bags inside the cup sitting lower than they should.

Y'all do know that K-Cups are made with the dregs at the bottom of the barrel, don't you?
