This young woman waited in line, studied tirelessly to learn to speak English, fell asleep in Her American History and Naturalization text books and EARNED her right to call herself an American.

Welcome to the good Ole US of A, young lady!

A lot of folks like this are the ones who hate Amnesty the most...they feel cheated because they immigrated through proper channels and stood in line for years. Something is always sweeter and more cherished when it’s earned and not given.

So you’re in favor of judging people by their individual actions?

Interesting.

Legal immigration per the rule of law rocks .

When my wife was naturalized they did a feature on her on the news. She lived in a relocation camp for more than a year before being allowed to come to America , and that was with her father fighting next to US troops. Also Naturalized with her was a family member of Harry Connick Jr .it was a great day . Hell yeah ! America!

No. By their individual accomplishments.

I would have helped her legalization process be a little easier.

Even better.

Want to talk about accomplishments of Dreamers or the actions of their parents?

walked right into that one

How they accomplished breaking the law the second they stepped foot in the county?

Nah...guess you walked right into that one.

Fun thing about kids is they lack the capacity to be legally responsible for their actions in a civil sense.

And the action of bringing them to the country is the action of their parents, not the kids.

Hard to square the two away ideologically. Same reason I’m civilly responsible if my unemancipated 16 year old kid runs over someone in his car.

What is the highest age of Dreamers? 32?

They have to go back. Sorry. Or do what the girl in the OP did.

Not really. I don’t let my feels get in the way when trying to “square things away.”

Carry on, buttercup.

So no analysis or argument as to why? Just “they have to go back”?

About what I expected.
