Can't make this stuff up. Senator McCatskill proposes bill to keep Military pay and benifits rolling during a shutdown. Senator McConnell IMMEDIEATELY strikes the bill down and objects that the bill be hear and voted on.
So tell me again how its the Democrats fault that Military pay and benefits are withheld during this shutdown.

they're the ones invoking the filibuster in the Senate with unreasonable demands?

It’s the Dems fault because they shut down the government.
Now they’re simply trying to avoid the consequences of their actions. They deserve no credit for doing so.

Schumer needs to stop being a bitch, and get the spending bill passed. Stop trying to put massive immigration reform in the spending bill.

Good. Leftists have already shown that they choose illegals over soldiers.Damn hypocrites know this has backfired on them and now they are trying to weasel public opinion. Not going to work Claire. How did you vote on the shutdown? McCaskill is going down and she knows it.

is it unreasonable to be concerned about the fate of nearly 1 million people that put their faith in the US government and entered into the Daca program only to be forgotten by this Republican congress and administration for nearly a year.

it's unreasonable to dismiss any negotiations
saying "you do everything i want or we won't agree to anything" isn't being reasonable
and your argument about these people putting faith in the government shows how terrible DACA is as an executive action. you're arguing for exactly why we should never create program like DACA and focus solely at the legislative level (Which is much more stable)

That should just about wrap up the military talking point from the right.

Yes, in this situation. It's absurd to even have to ask that, to be honest.

They hoped to get saomething for nothing that does not make them admirable, I would just consider it a sting operation and move on.

Fake news. The Republicans always support our troops.

seems like the consensus on this board is laying blame on the dems instead of putting on military first. SAD! seems like you all really have your priorities in order.
