The only problem I have with the 2 qb system is, you become predictable with packages that each qb has to run.

Bingo.......There have been the rare occasions where a team had 2 QB's of the same skills that rotated or they went with whoever had the hot hand and it worked. But as I said it is rare. Most of the time it splits the team and becomes a ego fight between the 2 players.

What I do like is what LSU did with Tommy Hodson and Mickey Guidry. Give the back a series or 2 a game or a half. Just to give the back up experience, give the defense a different look and let the starter get a different look at the game as well. This what LSU should have done this last year with Etling and Brennan.

absolutely .. the 2 QB system works if they are both almost identical in being a threat in one area and they can both run ANY O package.

...sometimes a better running QB close to the goal line or in short yardage situations.
RARE !

as it has often been said, if you have 2 QBs, you do not have a QB... while not a 100%, darn near right.

this is the real problem with the 2-QB system.

It's like an organization having two CEOs - it doesn't work. QB is the most important position on the field and you need an undisputed guy that the team can buy into and rally around.
