Obsession with Bama

Unless you havent noticed, the road to Atlanta runs through T-Town. If Atlanta isn't our goal, WTF are we doing?

I just watched Nick Saban talk about leadership for 47 minutes

When you him speak and then hear O speak, we're on different planets. Not a shot at O necessarily, but more of compliment to Nick

Nick is special guy, all you can do is tip your hat and say, the guy is amazing leader.

It's not that he can coach that much better than everyone else, it's that he can create an organization or a culture that grows prosperity.

His talk was all about how to get your organization on the same wave length and then hold them accountable for their own goals.

On discipline: "Make it about them, not you"

It's amazing stuff...he repeats the same things over and over, but the most important piece is, he is able to repeat in his own life what he preaches

For every "thank you"...there is an "I owe you"

he communicates really well...and he understands human behavior.

"Leadership is all about getting people to change their behavior towards a shared vision"

I can not think of a fan base that deserves their status less than they do. They completely lack humility and class. Clearly there are good fans who understand what they have, appreciate it, and are humble about it but they are the exception, not the rule. They are worse than Yankee fans, Patriots fans, Warriors fans. I simply have never seen a fan base who has let their level of success make them rotten to their very core on as overarching of a level as they have. That is why I want nothing more (save for a national title) each season than to beat them.

When the really hot girl way out of your league breaks up with you and starts dating someone else, your instinct is to compare the new boyfriend to yourself. Nick Saban was out of our league. For years after his departure we told ourselves we could get someone else on his level but reality has now kicked us in the nuts and we're realizing we were never really good enough anyway. At least not with the administration in charge right now.

Alabama has set the standard, unfortunately. Winning the west and the SEC means finding a way to beat Alabama. It's that simple. If LSU can beat Alabama, they theoretically should be able to beat the other teams on their schedule.
