It's way deeper than that. Interim O coaches like he has nothing to lose. He's aggressive but not reckless.
Permanent Coach O makes decisions (both on the field and off) from a place of fear.
____________
Valid point. "O" is reactionary. His lowest moment was when he through his own coach and player under the bus after the Troy game. That was infuriating. He has since then learned to think before he opens his mouth. sometimes less is more. In ways he reminds me of Trump he should think before he talks. He has weaknesses. We all do. But he has real strengths too. He realizes what he is. A good motivator. A good recruiter. Potentially a decent GM style head coach. He is not the best coordinator on either side of the ball. But he does realize where we were late in the season. Had we not lost to Troy we would have been right there with Auburn ranked 6 or 7 with losses to Mississippi State and Alabama only.

If that were true he would not have hired SE and promoted Sullivan.
Maybe Canada really was just that big a jackass. Fine. Things happen. But go out and find a forward thinking OC and empower them to fix this offense. The game has changed, you need fresh ideas. Look at what Saban has done, adapted to the modern game. Sullivan and Steve are a combined 137 years old.

He has not learned to think before he opens his mouth. He's the whole reason for the rumors being thrown around about Canada leaving and being let go after the bowl game. He point blank said he was going to highly consider Ensminger for the Job after the A&M game. That's having a big mouth and not handling it internally. C'mon dude
