What makes Gilbert a candidate? I looked at his resume again. I'm not impressed. He hasn't called plays in bigtime ball (at a pressure cooker).

I agree. This will be his 6th stop in 6 years.

I'm optimistic we're vetting candidates with a spread philosophy though - hoping we can land a better candidate that wants to open things up.

Why the hell does every candidate have to be the most experienced OC in the country? Who does impress you just out of curiosity?

Briles and Kiffin have coached big time ball. Gilbert outscored them this season with comparable competition.

You’re literally the only poster i’ve seen voice their dissatisfaction with Gilbert in multiple threads.
