I spoke with Coach on the phone yesterday for about 30 min. I really enjoyed our conversation. You can hear true remorse coming from him, and he really wants an opportunity to be an OC this season. I’m rooting for the guy.

If he interviews for this job, he gets it. He would be an elite hire and, I would suspect, an economical one, as well. Just do it.

For those of you who don’t know, the OP is a HS coach in Alabama, who basically put his starting QB on LSUs recruiting map ( LINK).. not sure if this conversation with freeze is a part of something bigger, but the OP is legit

yeah thats IF he can get a formal interview. Dk how the top administration would feel about this hire. He would be a GREAT hire though.

No doubt in my mind he'd take this job. Also no doubt in my mind the higher ups will never sign off on it.
But Saban will get him eventually and no one will bat an eye.

Quad is doing great. Hit a game winner for the basketball team the other night. He’s just a ball player period.
As far as whether I’m believed or not, it doesn’t matter to me, and frankly given some of the stuff I have seen posted here over the years, I don’t blame anyone skeptical.
As to the convo...we talked about several subjects, and I know that Jimmy is actively vetting out opportunities. Sure would love to see Hugh in BR.

I wont doubt you, and I truly hope he is sorry, theres no doubt he can develop QB's and call a game...my biggest concern is NOW is a really bad time for bringing on a media circus hire...the way our administration has handled everything in the last 5 years and ESPECIALLY the way our Coach handles distractions...it would be a sheet storm of the highest order. that is all.
