#1: ETHEREUM (ETH): January 1st price: $764.29
What is Ethereum?
Ethereum is a cutting-edge blockchain-based distributed computing platform, featuring smart contract functionality. It provides a decentralized virtual machine, the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), that can execute peer-to-peer contracts using a crypto-fuel called Ether.
Where is the value in ethereum derived from?
Ethereum is useful primarily because of its very high degree of generality, allowing users to build a very wide array of applications directly on the blockchain, ranging from currencies to various kinds of financial contracts to domain name registries, identity registries and certificate authority systems and even voting and governance applications. The protocol includes a built-in programming language that essentially allows you to specify whatever "rules" for a smart contract that you want, and the blockchain executes them for you.

No Electra no care.
Electra is going to hit a 100M market cap by the end of the month.

If I didn't have the time or smarts to research everyone of these crypto currencies, but bought some of each one of the 10 listed in the OP, is that a reasonably good strategy? If I have a fixed amount of money I can invest, should I equally weight the 10 cryptos in the OP, or will I be better off with a different weighting approach?

Thanks for this thread, just got into crypto within the last few months.I have been compiling a word document summary of all my crypto coins, latest news etc, and this will help me add to it. Im a novice who just pretty much spreads the wealth between around 30 coins. I know im diluting myself but just want to cover my arse.
