Looking in the 600-900 price range. Want a 50mm objective. Need at least a 4-12, maybe 4-16. Looking at Leupold, Swarovroski, Meopta. Trijicons seemed to heavy. Any suggestions. Going on my new Tikka T3x.

What are you using this for?

Deer hunting. Some of our lanes are 350 yds or so.

Personally, I’d recommend sticking with a 3-9x40. Others may disagree. Don’t think you can go wrong with those brands, just look through as many as you can.

I landed on meopta meopro for my new tikka. Haven’t used it yet so take it for what it’s worth

Have a Meopta MEOPRO on my tikka as well. Light years ahead of the Nikon I took off of it.

You gotta pick one. A 12-16x scope with a 50mm objective is going to be heavy. 30mm tubes exaggerate it even more.
50mm objectives sit higher off the barrel, are top heavy and don’t really provide that much of an advantage IMO.
All the brands you listed are going to be solid in that price range. Look at Vortex, typically get more bang for your buck.
250 is a long shot, 350 is a really long shot. I’d look at a BDC reticle

If you buy quality glass, there is no need for 50mm. I hunt long lanes in CRP and field edges. I do like a scope up to 12x.

^^This.
I don't know which Tikka you've got, but some of them are fairly light. Before buying a 4-12X or 4-16X w/ a 50 mm objective, I'd try to handle one to see what it feels like. If you've got a "beanfield rifle" that weighs 9" w/ a 24" heavy barrel you won't care about how a gun handles, weight distribution, etc, But that doesn't sound like what you've got or need.
I agree w/ recommending a BDC.

What size scope did you go with?

I went with the tikka 3x lite. I currently shoot a BAR stalker with a monarch 4-16x50, so I'm concerned with giving up too much magnification and giving up that 50mm objective. I looked through a swarkvoski at a local store and it was impressive. I'm looking for a scope that is basically one step up from my monarch in clarity and dependability.
