Maybe I’m in the small majority, but I think the O and Canada drama is being overblown. Possibly just to create conversation, but still it’s stupid.

When O mettled in the offense early in season, if you recall, we were having all kinds of false starts, illegal motion penalties, holding penalties, we were struggling to get any kind of pass protection, and our run plays were getting blown up in the backfield.
Granted we were young, but I think O wanted to simplify the motions to cut down on mistakes. Should he have, hard to say. But regardless the outcome wasn’t any better, so he turned the reigns back over to Canada.

I also believe the comment he made about Canada after the A & M game was innocent in nature. I believe he was simply saying if Canada wants to be a head coach I will support him leaving to do that.

everyone thinks they know what happened between O and Canada but they don’t.

It’s funny how early in the season the offense sucked because O was “meddling”...the same ones that spew this crap will say in the same breath “now we have to learn a new system which will take time”...yet it was all O’s fault bc he “meddled” with our new system this year we had a new OC, injuries, freshmen linemen, and a new system but let’s blame the head coach.

The same ones claim O turned the reigns over to Canada in the 2nd half of the Auburn game...are they so stupid they don’t realize we scored 14 pts in the 2nd qtr and then 13 in the 2nd half, 7 on a punt return, which offensively we only kicked 2 field goals.

Aranda is the best coach we have and he doesn’t have issues with O but the guy who can’t stay at a job for more than a year or 2 can’t so it must be all O’s fault...great logic by all those dumbasses.

I often wonder how so many people know about what goes on in the coaches offices and in microphones during a game.

You're one of thre few that can objectively see that the offense was putrid at the start of the season and that O needed to step in. However, you're wrong in thinking nothing is there. Canada has a history of not getting along with his HBCs. This relationship has been over since September.

boy did you hit the nail on the head. but wait, people are not gonna like what you said because you defended the head coach.too many people on this board think they know what is best for LSU but they really don't. they just go by all the rumors other idiots start.

It is the o haters. That simple. They need something to cling to. It has been a rough few months for them outside of the Alabama loss.

If it already leaked to the media and Orgeron's buddies are saying Canada will part ways with LSU, it's more than just a "smokeshow". It's what we here on tRant call a shiteshow.

Well, the local media has widely reported that there was a rift between the two coaches and Mike Detillier stated over a month ago that Canada wouldn’t be back.

Charles Hanagriff started yesterday that he and other LSU media members could hear Canada screaming about the direction of the offense and the quarterback play of Etling during the Troy game.

Whether the O knob slobbers want to admit it or not, this stuff isn’t coming out of thin air.

I get that there are O Haters.

But it is not being a hater by thinking that it is weird to hire a coach based on his ability to plug in coordinators.

Teams win consistently because of the head coach, period.

He may turn out great, but I am doubtful.

I believe smokeshow was the wrong choice of words.

There is definitely something to all of this, I’m simply saying to put the blame solely on O, based on the Troy game and the comments after the A & M game is a bit of a leap.

Haters gonna hate, slobbers gonna slob. I believe the truth is somewhere in between.
