Found a great vet. Older guy. Sedated her, gave us some time, gave her the shot. Then he said,”Now she lives on in our memories” and shook our hands. Sad day, but he made it easier.

If I was a vet I wouldn't trust some rando telling me a dog needs to die.

Shotgun works too. But it will attract ants on the brain. And if you like walking barefoot in the yard you may get a skull splinter
