Did they mention this image would represent >50% of the 2 1/2 hours?

That’s the picture they use.

I wish I had seen that picture before going in. I just remember when she first walked on screen I thought... “No... there’s no way in hell this is the direction they’re taking this film... well you did just see Carrie Fisher fly like Mary fricking Poppins, so who the hell knows.”

The Mary Poppins scene was the worst moment from the entire universe and no, I haven't forgotten about Jar jar.

Yeah it’s cringe. The man in the background is no coincidence. If only placement of the characters in the frame would’ve been such a concern with the rest of the movie

The "our ships travel at precisely the same speed" shite was cringeworthy too.

How about you hyperspace a star destroyer in front of the transport and box them in?

It’s really bad but honestly it’s not even the worst moment in the movie. The “the animal is free so it’s worth it” scene was worse IMHO.

I thought people just wanted spaceships, laser swords, and cute alien animals. Now they want to talk about how intellectual the film is to shame you into conformity since calling you a bigot didn’t work.

Reminds me of this image I saw from the Star Wars page on Twitter:

I mean, yeah I agree with this, but that is not compliment.

I’m not even sure if it’s in the Top 5. That’s how awful this movie is.

The joke is on them

Empire I think is the best movie ever made, but I wouldn’t talk about it like it’s 2001

What a bunch of retards

Oh I forgot!!! Forget the empire and the sith!!

The real evil in the sw universe is the rich people in the casino behind EVERYTHING!!!!

The word intellectual is the furthest description I'd use to describe the whole white bronco chase between the destroyers.

“We only have 3 days worth of fuel, go the exact same speed, and can’t block them off.”

How the frick did this get past the script supervisor. At least have the engine room stuck or something like that for Christ’s sake.

Or the fact that the empire routinely tracks the Falcon while they are chasing them in ESB. Or the fact that they stage a Star Destroyer on the Hoth exit vector to stop X-Wings and Transport ships from escaping that the rebels use the ion cannon on.

The idea that they’ll be followed through hyperspace but will be able to conveniently abandon ship and no one will notice is a fricking dumb plot point. Also the fact that the deception to the crew was completely unnecessary and only there to prove how silly that evil man Poe was. The same Leia that fully briefed her troops during the evacuation of Hoth. If someone was going to make that sacrifice it should’ve been Ackbar. Hero of the Rebellion. Not purple Dern

God dammit every time I think about this it pisses me off more.
