As someone who went through this on my own. I could afford buying a house. My friends who love to have every gadget, new fashion clothes, video game, concert ticket, football ticket, vacation, etc cannot afford a house.

saving up for a down payment, and i really dont want a starter house. i pay $1300 in rent which is absurd. really considering a roommate to speed up the process. living by yourself is so awesome tho
