I have said in many threads, my 13 year old shoots one in Ruger American. We looked for a alternative to the .243 after many blood trailing hours. The gun has been flawless killing. The bottom line is perfect shots lead perfect results. With most that doesn’t happen. Paired with superior ballistics, lack of recoil the caliber makes him/me better.

Have two of them. Ruger predator and Bergara HMR. Both shoot great with 143 Eldx and 129 sst
Lot less recoil and more fun to shoot than my 308

I've been leaning towards getting on of these. How do you like it?

Last week I bought a 6.5 CM in Savage Axis at Academy for $199 after the rebate. Not sure why I wanted a spare deer rifle, but I can't wait to shoot it when I get to camp next week.

Really like the HMR little heavy but use it out of my box stands and works perfect Most accurate accurate rifle I have even with standard factory ammo.
Wouldn't hesitate to buy one again!

The creedmore is a great whitetail round. Is it better then the 308, 270win, 30-06? Probly not. If anyone thinks it is tell me why. It’s not “better” then the other rounds in it’s class as a matter of fact. The very strong argument could be made that 260 Remington makes much more sense then the well marketed and recently much mystified creedmore. I actually had a guy tell me that his creedmore was shooting through deer so fast that they stood there and kept eating until the fell dead (or some shite. I think I blocked it out it was so stupid).

6.5 creedmoor wouldn't be anything but a wildcat if Remington wouldn't have their heads up their asses.

But they do and a 6.5 Creed feeds better in a semiauto. Thats about it. 260 tends to have a little more oal making feeding a little touchy in a semi.

Yeah, the 6.5cm really isn’t that fast. I haven’t chrono’d mine yet but it should be pushing the 143 ELD-x around 2600-2700fps.

I can push 150gr out of my .308 faster than that.
