Team will be embarrassed and go on a multi-win run. Intensity and focus will be magnified by 10. Every now and then, you need a loss like this one to reach your potential.

SFA is not a bad basketball team at all. They have had some internal matters...but that is getting cleared up by them.

You just told the whole board that you don’t know shite about college basketball.

Lol football should NEVER lose to a Sun Belt team. Upsets in basketball happen. And SFA is a pretty good team.

I think SFA is definitely analogous to Troy, but I don't think LSU hoops is at the relative level LSU football is...at least not yet.

Even if a team like duke lost to SFA, one game in basketball does not have the same effect one game in football does. Upsets happen in basketball all the time. Basketball is more analogous to baseball. We lost 5 midweek games and still earned a national seed.

They made it to the round of 32 in '15-16 and '13-14

I guess SFA and Troy are somewhat comparable in that they're good mid major programs. I don't think you can compare the status of LSU's bball and football programs nor is an upset in bball in December as big as a loss to Troy is at any point.

It’s hard to compare football with basketball or baseball for that matter.
Troy is a good team but under no circumstances should we have lost to them in football.
The SFA team I saw today is a good team. Their only loss was to Miss. State by 5. We still had an opportunity to win at the buzzer but didn’t.
We’ll get better as the year progresses and the next few years will be sweet.
All this being said, Watters seemed out of sync all game.

In essence we agree. Bottom line you see teams of the caliber of SFA beat upper level hoops teams much more often than very good lower level teams like Troy beat upper level football teams...like LSU still is. So the analogy is flawed.

I hope you know how retarded this thread is. But since you started this thread in the first place, I'm sure you have no clue.
