Yes. No coincidence

These events typically happen at night/sleep

I have posted how folks taking DMT also can reliably communicate with similar “beings”

Newer views of conciousness suggests that waking conciousness is limited by the “brain as a reducing valve”. Again, the brain is a filter. We experience the full spectrum when parts of our brain go offline (not intuitive to most reductionist materialists as they speculate that our brains “make” conciousness (instead of tuning into it)).

I know this is 2 years old, but you're thinking of sleep paralysis, not night terrors. And having myself experienced literally hundreds upon hundreds of episodes and seeing and hearing hundreds of terrifying things, I can attest to many of them feeling as if gravity was sucking me into another dimension (though I don't believe that's actually what's happening).
