Want privacy and don’t have much of a fence right now. Is the message behind building an 8’ fence considered a “frick you, go frick yourself” kind of thing or is it no different from a 6’ fence?

ETA: Thread helped convince me to build an 8' fence. Don't want to go with 6' and regret it after.

What’s 2’ of difference. That way the boy next door can’t use his treehouse or trampoline to spy on your daughters.

Go with the 8’

And a moat

Depends on how bad the neighbors are. I want a 20' fence between my house and my neighbors

frick a fence. Build a wall. And make him pay for it.

Not as much as barbed wire and electricity.

Family in my parents neighborhood have an 8 foot fence. They're the only ones. And they painted it, and their mailbox, puke green.

Looks absolutely horrible.

Is this the same neighbor that wont let you build a driveway to get to your landlocked property?

If we’re neighbors, then the feeling is mutual. Go halfsies and I’ll build a 25’ fence!

I’d go with a full 10’ stockade. With guard towers and a moat.

Heads set upon the pikes.

Clumping bamboo is always an option. It makes a nice natural wall and doesn't spread out of control like regular bamboo.

Again, go back and read that thread again. I don’t have landlocked property!
