Karla start out as karla, then became KCT, and is now errywhere. Its all rather entertaining how someone can have alts, but not change their posting style at all.

There was also another one in the mix that she straight up admitted to. Boernges or something like that. I've seen "other" posters that have Karla tendencies as well. She's certainly one of the more amusing characters on the site.

I once spent 7 pages posting one-word "melt" replies to her.

That was fun.

This is why it would be a complete waste of time for me to have an alter.

Yeah me too. Really pointless too. I simply don't care about e-cred.

I enjoy good debates now and again, and frankly wished they happened more here. But, this place does deliver in fine entertainment so you can't have everything.

You fancy yourself an expert in tax, economics, and climate...at least that is what I've noticed so far.

I have also noticed your actual expertise is somewhere between talking points and a rather elementary understanding....as far as I can tell.

I really trigger you don't I?

I think only erewerewewe or whatever his/her alter is is the only one that I see more frequently follow me around to try and lay in such weak ad hominems.

Haha you're so predictable. You say that like it's an insult to me when it's really just a fact.

You don't need electricity or gas to live either, so they aren't utilities, right?

You described perfectly competitive just fine. As I already said.

quote:

Markets require certain foundational principles to function properly, otherwise they risk market failure.
Correct.

quote:

very few markets exhibit all of those traits in the real world, but for a market to be high functioning it requires most of that foundation to operate relatively close to those principles
No economist alive believes "perfectly competitive markets" are required to have a functioning market.

quote:

The ISP market does not exhibit almost any of those underlying traits satisfactorily
The only underlying trait you attempted to address was your perfect competition red herring, so, you'll need to expand.

I am glad to see that now, after a couple of weeks, you found a website to help you devise responses to the reality you didn't understand competition.

Kudos to you for that. It was definitely a better attempt than your last ones

Then Bill Gates hired lobbyists to get it changed to a progressive format and delayed implementation of HD for seven years.

I don't really pretend to understand all the technical details - I know the knock on interlaced was flicker, but folks adjust to flicker much better than jitter/depixelation, which is far more common with progressive. I think Gates concern was that his hardware was not handling interlaced as well as progressive, so the entire industry changed.

Now, I know that 24 fps progressive is probably closer to film and maybe, ultimately, it was the right call but it slowed things up something terrible as you correctly note.

Meh. I am not an expert in climate or the economy, so I can't really get into that. Though your patronizing way of misapplying very basic concepts gives me a little insight that you don't know much about them.

I am confident that your understanding of the tax code is below elementary. You form your opinions on it 100 percent from talking points.

Don't flatter yourself. Nobody follows you around. I probably spend less than 5 percent of my posts on here responding to you. You do provide a lot of opportunity though.

They both discuss the same topics, with the same points, and the same responses to anything that refutes those points. If I see an increase in charts and "studies," I'll know it's BamaAtl for sure.
