Meanwhile, let's completely ignore the bio of the man who erected NN.
Whataboutism (also known as whataboutery) is a variant of the tu quoque logical fallacy that attempts to discredit an opponent's position by charging them with hypocrisy without directly refuting or disproving their argument, which is particularly associated with Soviet and Russian propaganda. When criticisms were leveled at the Soviet Union, the Soviet response would be "What about..." followed by an event in the Western world.

Spare me. I'm responding to an assertion that basically says "Because the guy held a particular job 15 years ago, that means he's in the bag.
Well. If I take that as a true statement, then it was true before he arrived too.
That isn't whataboutism. You're just parroting shite.

The next original thought these fools have will be their first.

Bingo.
Pai's employment history? Proof he's corrupt.
Wheeler's? Just a wonderful man seeking to help everyone.

Wheeler went AGAINST the wishes of essentially every ISP in the country with net neutrality.
I'll say the same thing I said on the OT - if this repeal is good for competition and a free market, why are the main supporters the ISPs who would be most negatively impacted by a free market???

Oh. And Wheeler went STRAIGHT FROM the companies he was going to regulate to regulating them.
Pai last worked in the industry 14 fricking years ago.

You guys make me chuckle.
Why is Google and all the big dogs who provide FOR it? Hmmmmmmmmm?
You telling me that Comcast is more powerful than Google and Amazon?
I mean, not that this is actually a decent rhetorical approach. The whole "why does........." approach is always silly. It basically is a way of admitting you can't actually conceptualize the issue at hand, so you've decided simply by deciding which party you dislike most.

You're welcome to join the discussion on the OT and step out of this hell hole. We've addressed it all there.

The repeal of net neutrality is a good thing for any major internet company. It's awful for consumers and those who ever had a dream to create a major internet company.
If you're a major site, you're golden. You're in already. They're not going to throttle speeds to Google or Amazon, they'll be part of the basic internet packages.

You realize Title 2 is one of the worst things to happen if we are wanting new internet companies to get into the market, right?

thats why Google supported it...they like competition.
