Did anyone just catch that segment on 104.5?

Interviewed him about the 1983 Orange Bowl against Nebraska. Also talked about Pete Jenkins and his career. Then they got into his struggles since his release from prison in September. They were asking if anyone can help him with a job and housing. Said he has been basically homeless since his release. I would think LSU would have some ways of helping him. Hell just give a support job in athletics, where he can advise the athletes about making the right choices.

Man this guy was a monster and completely owned Dave Rimington in that Orange Bowl. That 1982 defense was incredible.

LSU had the better team, the better lines and a chip shot field goal to ice the win late. THEY BLEW IT!

CTE is real
The equipment they used back then was awful.
Plus players played through and with concussions all the time.
With the money in college sports now, they need to do something for those players that don't have the NFL to fall back on.

Yowza. You get around a 12 just for random guessing. You almost have to actively try to get a 3.

Where are you pulling this quote from? You do realize what the job of a defense attorney is?

No way do I believe that 3 number.

I love second chances more than most . But you don’t always get the feel- good story book ending you want because in the end , character is destiny . Ramsey burned a lot of people multiple times so he’s going to get a lot of skepticism and unreturned calls and he is probably at the “ show me “ stage of life.

Sounds like the perfect guy we need advising LSU players.

And a convicted felon on top of that.

I don't remember much about his situation. All I can recall is when he got arrested while pushing a shopping cart full of VCR's down the street. Didn't know that he has had multiple chances. Hopefully he has reached a point where he knows he can't mess up again.

It’s much worse than just being a felon . It’s violence and home invasions . Back in the day he almost wrecked mid- city by himself. His criminal commitment was legendary.

Practice compassion but Proceed with caution.

Nothing but a piece of shite. I don’t care how well he played for LSU, that guy was a one man crime wave that terrorized neighborhoods. I have zero compassion for him. He was given chance after chance because of his status as a former LSU athlete and he burned bridge after bridge.

He even stabbed a police dog trying to kill it.

frick that guy.

Yeah, good luck with that. He is gonna rob some good hearted person blind.

There is already one felon working in the football program, Ponamsky.

We can handle two, can't we?

Well people don't exactly have open arms for someone who went to prison for home invasions and the like TWICE. Why doesn't big boy Gordy just house him?

I know this is true for a fact. If he is really wanting to make something of himself, I hope he gets a chance but he will have a tough time. Let’s hope he makes it.

Ponamsky is more of a con artist who just hasn't been convicted yet. But I agree he will a felon one of these days.....
