Whether you love, or hate Oregeron, you have to admit

His handing of the OLine coaching situation was absolutely top notch.
Some appreciation should be given to Grimes as well, for most likely being up front and honest that he was leaving if he was offered the BYU gig.
There is no doubt that offensive line recruiting is a massive area of need with this class. It appears to be addressed very well at this point, but losing your OL coach could put a damper on that. Orgeron had it lined up to where Grimes leaving and a nw coach being hired happened almost together. No time was given for fans, players or recruits to freak out. Then he seems to have brought in a guy with good credentials, so hopefully all the recruits Grimes brought in remain solid.
I'm on the fence whether Oregeron can lead this team to SEC and Playoff Championships, but I will give credit for his handling of this coaching change.

This situation was handled perfectly. I agree.
OL coach left for a promotion and a well-credentialed successor was named simultaneously.

With time, Ed has began to stockpile the offense and defensive lines. Just looking at the roster and the future classes is a complete 180 from what we have been use to on the line. Putting his staff in place is slowly coming together. He is doing a great job of keeping recruiters on staff at the same time as putting a strong emphasis on player development (Cregg). Give Ed some time. He’s got a good vision.

I am shocked that you even say anything positive about O..........

And the BYU coach is squarely on the hot seat next year.

I agree.
I'm still torn on whether he can lead us where we want to go. With his hiring I was upset that it wasn't a big name guy. Not really upset that it was him, but just thougut we should have done better.
After the Troy loss I was ready to jump off the cliff, but the rest of the season has backed me off the ledge. Since Troy he has done good things, from recruiting, to managing the team, to his coaching staff. So I'm still willing to believe in him. Next season will be a tough one for sure though. No matter who the coach would be.

I'm not one of the ones that bashes him for every little thing possible dumbass. I wouldn't expect you to know that though, with your busy schedule of incorrectly picking sporting events and natural disasters.

I think this was handled perfectly and I think in the recruit eyes with the young coach coming from the NFL And putting too high profile linemen in in the NFL will be all that more intriguing to play for him. he has NFL ties and has put guys in to the league already know what more could a freshman linemen want

Some people can't give Oregeron any credit for anything good that happens. So they have to resort to something else to he mad about with this.

Cregg seems like a solid hire.

Agree with this. We need continuity to keep the recruits.

Why? The O-Line had a lot of highly rated players
