As much as I dislike Richard Shelby, he had the foresight to see the adverse impact of this election on a national scale. It was a lose-lose proposition for Republicans..... 25 senate seats are up for grab in a few months. 18 of those are currently held by democrats. Many of those seats are in states that were won by Trump .Roy Moore would have been an issue in every one of those races.

Republicans are far better in the long run without Roy Moore in the Senate. Jones will only hold that seat for a couple of years anyway before it turns red again.

You are ignoring the short window that republicans are guaranteed control of both houses. I thinks there is a very high chance that the you see a gain by Rs in the senate and the house go blue in the same election. After that Trump’s agenda is done.

He will be more of an issue in them now that he was defeated.
Because after the loss of his seat every one of those races are now 1 seat more critical.
Before the Democrats only needed to pick up 3 seats now they only need 2.

And all they need to do it is throw some unsubstantiated allegations that can never be proven and they win.

He's been playing by the rules, but that's when he gets out the pen and phone. Thanks Obama!

Lol. The House is easily geared in GOP's favor thanks to gerrymandering, which I will not deny does exist. Good luck. Dem monopoly on House ended in the 1990s thanks to Newt.

Yes because he's been so successful with his agenda to this point. He's really put on a clinic in leadership and getting the rank and file in Congress to fall in line.

It astounds me that others couldnt see it. Maybe the loss will be enough to distance the GOP from Moore's name in 2018, but they were willing to accept him into the fold had he won, and that has to resonate on some level. I still cant believe they put financial support back behind him once they did the heavy lifting on the damage control.

Correct, same as Obama minus Obamacare.
Obama had an advantage to shove that shite sandwich down our throats though...
He had a super majority in the Senate for his first term.
If Trump would have had a supermajority then Obamacare would have been repealed, taxes would have been reformed and the wall would have been funded already in year one.
