A buddy of mine told me a similar story. Downtown bar that he would stop by sometimes after work, and the bartender would pour about 4-5 ozs of Bookers when he ordered it, and charge $8 since that is what most of the bourbon they had cost. She didn't realize it was more, and certainly had no clue about measuring. He said someone should tell that young lady she is wrong on both counts, but it certainly wasn't going to be him.

Wholesale Cost on Silver Oak 2010 Napa is about $58, so $125 is more than a 200% markup, which is typical. I know, because our Country Club sells wine at cost on Saturday nights and I buy Silver Oak for $58 on those nights. Much cheaper than I can buy it in a good wine store. Also, is not one of their better years, so it may be cheaper. 2007, 2009 and 2011 are better years.

You’re talking about Alexander valley, not Napa valley. Napa is $120-130 depending on where you get it. Wholesale cost is probably around $100, not sure the exact because it’s not my product so I can’t look it up.

There was also another place here in town that bourbon/whisky was your typical $8-10 depending on what it was. And they had scotch that went up to $25. I'm not normally a Jack Daniels drinker, but they had the Single Barrel on there for $5. I thought it was a misprint on the menu at first. But then my bill came and all 3 of them on there for $5 each. I also ordered with just two ice cubes, and on the second and third the bartender nearly filled the glass. Work sucked the next morning.

You may prefer it, but the Napa is the higher tier and costs almost twice as much.

You could catch a flight to Scotland, stay in a decent hotel, and bath in that shite in a claw foot tub full of ginger hookers for that price.

I love good scotch, but that is fricking stupid.

As pointed out you buy Alexander for $58. That's a fair wholesale price

Wood profile is just oak sherry butt. It’s gonna taste like sherry. And it’s only 55.6% alcohol.
