Cops kill about the same number of people armed with B.B./airsoft gums as cops are killed per year. Are you sure that the number of questionable shoots are smaller than the number of cops killed? I’d guess they’re not.

What do you mean “how?”

How does one evaluate a life threatening situation in a couple of seconds when dealing with someone resisting arrest?

This should have been an extremely easy and simple arrest. An over zealous spineless psycho cop pulled the trigger because he wanted to. There’s nothing more to it than that.

Again..you're singling out an almost never happens situation and trying to pass it off a normal occurrence.
What was your example before that one, or is this position new for you?

By keeping a cool head and not being a fricking pussy. This particular incident wasn’t even in the vicinity of a life threatening situation. Also there was zero attempt to resist arrest.

but what does that have to do with the normal behaviors of police?

One could imply that this is court sanctioned behaviour and is completely lawful.

Do you want to live in a society where this is a legal action?

bullshite. Even in situations that have been viewed as correct calls by most people, there have still been campaigns and lawsuits of "wrongful death", especially if they're African American. It's a farce for the most part.

Alright bass, when someone points a bb gun at you, just go ahead and walk up for a close up, you know, just to ensure it's the real thing. At that point, you're free to use lethal force.

Sheesh, you really are willfully biased and/or dense.

Cops make the right decisions every day. The ones who don't should pay dearly.

Like this case (or Tamir Rice or the Walmart police shooting), the gun isn’t always pointed at police. The gun’s presence is reported and that is police’s justification for escalation of force.

I haven't looked it up, but surely he did, right? It should be around the 150 mark. Regardless, that is probably the most idiotic argument ever exhibited here. What the frick does he think is occurring? The cop is 2' away and is able to study the caliber before deciding on lethal force?

You draw a fricking gun, regardless of what type, you know the outcome. What an asinine argument to make.

That is one of the dumbest, fantasy based, imagined views of reality I've ever heard. You have no concept of the real world.

If I kill someone who points a B.B. gun at me it’s going to be a lot harder to prove I “reasonably feared for my life” than it would be for a cop. If a SWAT team comes into my house on a no knock warrant in the middle of the night and I defend myself I don’t get to claim self defense.

The simple fact of the matter is that cops have much more leeway in who they kill than the average citizen does. It should be the exact same for both, if not more difficult for them to prove their innocence especially considering they’re “trained.” If anything I should get more benefit of the doubt than they do.

Probably my “favorite” example was the case where the car backfired at police headquarters and police brought in the whole force to follow the car and fill it with hundreds of bullets and kill both occupants.

LINK

Good shoot.

How many cops do you think are killed in a year? Is that what they are telling you in your union brochures?
