This season could have been disastrous

I'm starting to hate this. I mean, yay o didn't let the team tank. This type of season was seen as a disaster two years ago and got a coach fired. Now we have to hear, well at least the team didn't tank.

Thanks Alleva, the fanbase has lowered their expectations.

The realistic fans went into this season with 9-3 expectations. I never once expected to make the playoffs with a Purdue back-up as our starting QB.

I went into this season hoping to stay afloat. We did exactly that. Looking at the starting roster this season, how tf could you expect playoffs. 2018 will determine whether O was truly a bad hire or not. He inherited a team on a downward spiral. If you think otherwise, you’re blind. This team was a train wreck on the inside when Miles was fired.

Hypocrisy is the foundation of the cult.

The arguments/philosophies/criticisms that filled this board regarding Miles’ tenure aren’t applied in the same way with this fella.

There is something innate in LSU fans that loved being the underdog. They don’t wanna be the favorites with high expectations. Maybe winning when you’re expected to isn’t as much fun as winning when you’re not?

To be the underdog, you must lose. Lower the expectations and joy can be found in unexpected victory.

This is really the true nature of Louisianians in general and LSU fans in particular.
