Get a pump shot gun, you likely won’t need to even shoot an intruder as just the sound of you chambering a shell should be enough to scare most burglars off. If they don’t run from that sound assume they are committed to staying and dying.

Yea no kiddin. We are catching some snow right now at the house(Princeton). Crazy it was damn near 60 this afternoon and it'll be 15 when the alarm clock goes off.
