The reality is LSU would have been left out and most other teams would have as well.
That is the point. It should not be at the discretion of some committee to basicly nullify conference standings and conference titles based on nothing but opinion.

Exactly. A post I made earlier saying there are about 6 teams, when in their prime, can do what bama did.
Funny thing is it was 2 of those 6 teams I mentioned that we’re goong head to head. The difference today, BAMA’s current run and the weight that carries with Saban.
LSU isn’t getting in if I’m bama’s shoes.
