The rumor is that if it's Les, they would bring Tee Martin as OC/HCIW and probably that Austin Thomas guy from LSU who has all the Nashville connections.

This would be a home run for Tenn. I'm being serious. They still have a draw and Les was able to pull guys from all over the country to LSU. He'd have them competing in the East for sure.

One YUGE positive about bringing in Les would be that after 5 years watching of Lyle and his zone read take it up the arse soft as peanut butter squads, Tennessee players will start playing like MEN again.

Les' teams stumbled in November at times but the team never came out soft like LSU did this season.

And will probably lose Austin Thomas to them if Les goes there.

The two games following Bama in 2015.

You mean when Alleva was trying to make a deal with sexton for Jimbo behind Les' back. And leaked he was getting fired with 3 games left?

he recruited well at lsu, do you really think he will constantly bring in top 10 classes at Tennessee? he surely didn't at ok st

Seriously?? Come on man. This shows lack of knowledge of UTs recruiting capabilities or straight trolling.

Les today is different than OK St Les.

With the right coach UT can sit in the top 5 year in and out.

The second there is adversity, the second the O struggles in a high pressure situation, he will revert to power I big 10 football. He can’t help it.

Arky 15. Went full on spread. First 21 snaps had Harris in the shotgun. Ran I in the red zone and scored on that play. He has shown he can change it up, it didn't work out that game, but still.

You're right. At OK St, he had a more diverse offense and let Gundy run the offense, per his offensive coordinator description. At LSU, he ran a 1970s Big Ten offense and wouldn't let his offensive coordinators coach the offense.

Just be prepared to be utterly frustrated if it's Les. Consider this our friendly advice to you the way you tried to warn us about Third and Chavis. Too bad we didn't listen.

I'm not saying I want Les. Could be worse of course but not my top 5 list, but at this point he can provide the stability UT is needing.

It's the recruiting thing that gets me. UT sells itself, and perfected out of state/national recruiting before most.

I don't see a big disconnect between Les and USC/Tee's offensive approach. I think part of the deal will be that Les must let Tee orchestrate the offense without meddling or handcuffing Tee.

Power I has 3 running backs + qb in the backfield. Les ran regular old I formation.

He'll recruit well, run a clean program, and win a lot more than he loses. You could do much much worse.
