Empirical scientific evidence shows that in healthy individuals, if protein intake and calories are equated, there is virtually no difference in fat loss rates between low carb or high carb diets. If healthy, your extra rate of fat loss could be explained by better adherance


That said, there are various reasons that this could be change in people with hormonal imbalances, pre-diabetes, insulin sensitivity, etc. if the keto diet helps rectify some health issues.
