A friend wants one for his house and is trying to stay around $700 or so. Any recs on a good one? I told him Weber should have a decent in that range. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I did a lot of reading on this 2 years ago and wound up with the Broil King Baron. The decision comes down to Weber vs Broil king I love mine and have had zero problems with it.

I have a blaze and it cooks great. It’s in the $900 range though but should check out. Blaze is a local BR company so good to support a local business!

I’m a big Weber fan. They aren’t cheap, but they work well and last many years.
Customer service is also really good. I had the shroud/lid on a gas grill start to rust out (I left it uncovered in the weather for years). Called Weber on a Sunday afternoon, and the nice American lady said she would have one in the mail to me on Monday. Anything else? Yes, I lost the cap for a leg on my charcoal grill. No problem. She tossed one of those in too. No charge.
That said, they have reduced the length of warranty on some parts since the big redesign of the gassers a year or so ago. It’s still generous, but not the 25 years like I had on that shroud.

I’m well into year 2 with my NG Weber Genesis and have been extremely happy.
I left the wheels off and tapconned it into my patio concrete.

Napoleon is the king! Well, actually an emperor, but a damn good grill.
