They will, but they shouldn't.

Why should a team that won't qualify for it's conference championship get to to play for a national championship when only four qualify?

8-team playoff? OK.

4-team playoff? Nope.

Got a lot of yes responses in here, but I think a lot of Bama fans will be sweating a good bit. They don't have a good resume at all, and wouldn't have as many top wins as anyone else in contention. If Miss. St stays in the top 25 it will help them, but i'm not sure they will after Fitz going down.

They aren't going over the SEC champ, the ACC champ (assuming clemson wins today) OU or Wisconsin if they go undefeated

Saban should just rest the entire team.

You get a bye week - don't have to worry about losing the SEC Title game.

Just rest, relax and wait for the playoffs.

Take a week off and party like its 2011.

I stated on this board earlier this week it would benefit them to lose to Auburn.

This is one of the benefits of being a blue blood in CFB. Different standards.

Do they? Yes.

Should they? No.

Doesn't matter. Their resume this year can't be worse than it was in 2011 when they got in with only two team championship consideration.

Lol at a non-conference non-division champion with 1 ranked win vs a 3 loss team getting in the playoffs

Wut?

tOSU needs to beat Wisconsin, have Alabama run the table, and have Oklahoma lose to possibly get in.

If Clemson loses today and beats Miami, tOSU will likely get in. If they lose today and Miami wins, Miami will be in.

13-0 Wisconsin
12-1 OU
12-1 Clemson
12-1 UGA

All get in over one-loss Bama, no matter where Bama's loss occurs.

This is the ONLY four-team combination I can imagine that locks Bama out, though. Anything different and I think Bama makes it.
