Yea I know. I was just pointing out that the head to head game won't matter in the long run. The 2nd highest ranked team after the SEC team in the playoff will go to a NY6 bowl. Our best chance may be for Auburn to win out with a close game against bama and destroy Georgia again. In that scenario both Auburn and Bama may get into the playoff so our only competition for a NY6 bowl would be Georgia. Even then we may not get in.

Everyone keeps saying that the non-playoff bowls are assigned by ranking. That is not necessarily true. The SEC in the past has assigned bowls based on rankings, season record, and input from individual bowl committees. The SEC has the rights to maximize the TV revenue. This in the past has screwed LSU but we could land in a better spot than many here think.
