So doom sayer, should we just not play our schedule next year. Sounds like you have us losing every game. Idiot

Where the hell do you infer that from my statement moron

All I said is LSU will lose a lot of key pieces next year

Its a fact

LSU loses two fantastic RB's

We lose Key who is a critical piece for our defense

I never said LSU will lose a lot next year

Agree. I love this staff as a whole. Canada is the only one that I believe isn’t a good fit for Lsu. I am ok with his offense but by all accounts he hates it here, his wife hates it here so see ya. Go get briles jr. Wked with daddy and Lane kiffen this year. Imo he would be a solid hire. And if Hugh Freeze doesn’t get a show cause and can be the OC. Faaak it give him a 2nd chance. So he messed around on his wife. It happens all the time. Go to Sex rehab and get back to work!!

I'm not, I hope he proves me wrong but he's the coach and I'm not going to bitch about it a year after. I guess you forgot Miles throwing Jefferson under the bus after the Ole Miss game when Miles was clearly telling him to spike the ball. Changes were needed and if he can win 10 games this year it's not ideal but LSU hasn't done that since 2013.

Can you prove your statement fiddlehead?

You’re asking me to prove that Aranda is smarter X’s and O’s Wise than Coach O?

Do you also want me to prove that Tony the Tiger is a cartoon and not a real tiger?

Coach O has done a superb job under the circumstances

Circumstances like inheriting top-10 talent and having one of the best defensive minds in the country on staff? Yeah, poor guy. He was thrown into a shitty situation

our 5th year senior QB

That’s a blessing. He was incredibly limited and there was always a ceiling here. He couldn’t make the plays needed to beat good defenses. So ready for a playmaker at QB and not a game manager mentality.

Everyone loses players every single season..

There’s tremendous dline talent returning including the transfer and a guy they like as much as Key in terms of talent. We will see how it translates..

Losing Guice is big but LSU may continue spreading the ball around.

LSU returns a lot of linemen with experience and take by. That’s most important.

The SEC is so down these past two seasons. Wish we could have taken more advantage. Glad we beat one team with a winning record this season.

Coach O

The team didn't collapse after the Mississippi State and Troy bed shitting. I give the team and him credit for that. We beat a good Auburn team and loss by double digits to Alabama for the second year in a row under O.

The team is scoring fewer points and gaining less yards per game than it did in 2015. And that's against a weaker SEC than the 2015 team played. That's on O. He has the team ranked 18 and that's on O. The 2017 QB situation is better than the one we had in 2015. Recruiting in 2015 was more highly ranked than 2017. That's on O

All in all, 2017 is not any better than 2015 and in 2015 we didn't lose to a fricking Troy and we played a better schedule.. We can do all the feel good shite we want, as in the team is playing better than we were when we shitting in our pants, but reality is we haven't moved even one step closer to winning the west that what we did between 2012 and now. Also, we fired the last coach who averaged three defeats a year and replaced him with one who already has three defeats while playing a easier schedule.

Way to go, Alleva.

Can we stop acting like winning 10 games out of 13 with 3 cupcakes sprinkled in is some huge achievement?

I don't wanna live off moral victories or be medicore. that being said, it was his 1st full year and his salvaged a nice turnaround. things could be worse. we could be in a coaching search again. time will tell. O needs to win the west by year 4 IMO.

Well... I'll be damn... as a fan, I want the TEAM to be successful... to WIN! Sorry if you would rather shite on someone than support them. I guess the hiring board didn't count your vote for the new HC. YOU, like everyone else on here, have no say so on who the HC was going to be or who the next one will be. So sget over the O hate and just wacth the football team or go piss off.

Every team I played on had at least one X's O's guy that was better than the head coach in that regard. Every time I see this argument I know who's never played a down of football past pee wee

not really, if you think that Saban knows anything about offense then you are a retard.

Aranda is the only person I want to keep happy here. To me he is the sleeping giant with his coaching ability. Reminds me of a young Nick Saban with his defensive schemes. Soooo down the road I could see him as the Head Coach. I mean they labeled him assistant head coach in his recent contract.

Not a knock on Aranda because I love the mad scientist. Just an observation. Wisconsin has the #1 defense this year, 2 years removed from him being there.

Steele who "sucked" when he was here has put together a very good D at Auburn. I think the key is we are doing a better job recruiting at LB and DL now. Chavis hurt us recruiting and it took a few years to get that corrected outside of the DB position.

I want us to keep Aranda as long as we can, but I think we can recruit good DCs that will do well now that we have straightened out our personnel deficiencies.

Our other issue is turnovers. We currently rank tied for 77th in interceptions and 109th in fumbles recovered (including the 2 ST fumble recoveries vs Tenn). That is really the big separation between this D and the 2011 one. By comparison this season we have 4 fumble recoveries. In 2011 Mathieu had 5 by himself.
