It’s a 20 minute video so fair warning. Well worth the watch. I know some folks here don’t like him but I find him to be pretty genuine.

Curious to know why some people don't like him. Seems to be a good ambassador for hunting

Me too. Always seemed a very genuine person to me.

I like Waddell but disagree on him with saying we have all done it.
Shooting that second buck square in the arse like the video showed was one of the most disgusting hunting related things I have ever seen. Gives anti-hunters the exact kind of ammo that we don't need to give them....
period

I followed him (Brackett) on FB for a while and he projects a better than everyone vibe. Constantly on his high horse.

Because of his personal life. Think he is divorced, maybe some other shite as well.
I've always thought Waddell was a good guy for hunting. That whole crew seems to be to be honest. I used to watch their show all the time, but after a while, the antics get a little old (and maybe that Georgia accent does too! Haha!). Probably doesn't help that this board got me hooked on Meat Eater, and Steve just makes everyone else look ridiculous. And it's just the same ole thinf year after year on Bone Collector.
Regardless, Waddy seems like a good guy. Maybe some people have personal experiences with him that went bad.

Steve is awesome.
After Brackett and Busbice, I’d like to see Jackie Bushman get his comeuppance for his fricking phone scams

You must have not seen the video of him being a complete dick to his cameraman

It may be that some are talking about Wadell and others the Affliction douche. Some posts are not exactly clear on who is the subject.

Ah, you might be right. I’m talking about Brackett. Grade A prick

I met Waddell at the wildlife extravaganza in Jackson. Seemed like a nice genuine guy

Every TV personality can come or go, I really dont care. But there was a whole lot more in the Brackett video than an illegal harvest.
1.) He was disrespectful to the landowner when he shot the first deer. If you cant honor a handshake, you cant do much.
2.) He chose to shoot the second deer. That is just illegal.
3.) He shot the deer in the arse, I dont think that needs any additional explanation.
4.) He talked to his cameraman like an a-hole. Ive shared blinds with many people, I have never heard anyone be an a-hole to their blindmate.
Hunting shows dont show them to be better than the viewer, if you cant understand the context of the hunting show then you may be too ignorant to be armed and in the woods in the first place. Their are alot of them that are multiple times better hunter than me. I dont doubt that one bit.
At the end of the day, you have to know why you hunt. I do it for fun, I do it to hang out, I do it to kill a few ducks and a couple deer. I do it because I want to raise my boys how I was raised, I think things like showing respect to adults at the camp, learning to interact with others (sometimes you need Crazy Mr Joe in your life), thinking through problems presented in the outdoors, appreciating sunrises and sunsets and campfires can play a part in making them the men I hope they become.

I do. You’d be surprised how good a hunter you are if you get all the best gear and get to chase the rut from Canada to Mexico

I really like what he said about the women in the industry trying to hunt bc they couldn’t be a model in another industry. Very true

And now we are back on track.

Yeah he’s not my favorite but it’s not because he doesn’t seem like a good guy. I just get tired of their schtick, but i don’t blame them for using it to make money one bit
