fewer recruits
just because UCLA gets out recruited by USC isnt an indictment on UCLAs ability to bring in the type of recruits needed to win in the pac. UCLA literally got the #1 overall player last year and routinely brings in top 15 classes. hell, mora even had some top 10 classes. there are a lot of reasons why florida is a better job, but the lack of ability of the UCLA program to recruit big time players is not one of them

Nice, UCLA also had two back to back losing seasons and has only beaten USC 4 times out of the last 19 games, hasn't won its conference since 1998 and hasn't won its division since 2012, and twice since 2000. They've won their division twice since 2000.

We won our division twice since 2015. Florida is a much easier job to run than UCLA and has way more of a chance of reaching the CFB Playoff than UCLA. Outside of recruiting you couldn't argue a single point in UCLA's favor, and even in recruiting it's dubious since Florida has a top ten recruiting class with no fricking head coach while UCLA is sitting at 20 and will have a bit of fall off from losing their HC.

You guys are terrified.

UCLA can bring in plenty of big talent. People act like recruiting has been set in stone and can't evolve at schools. The argument against Nebraska is more understandable because it's cold, boring, and in the middle of nowhere, but so are most of the other Big schools.

Maybe UCLA just needs the right guy. Is Kelly that guy ? I don't know if he is the guy to build a true foundation for UCLA but he can be the guy to inject success pretty quickly and that is proven.
