There's no shortage of talent in Southern California, but UCLA literally has USC a stone's throw away. UCLA has beaten USC 4 times in 18 years and the last time they won the PAC was 1998, the last time they won their division was in 2012.

It's not a huge football program, and is dwarfed by its in-city brother. It's not a place for immediate success, nor does it have the fan support to lure Chip Kelly.

No money, fewer recruits, bigger brother in the same city. It's like Oregon all over again, fighting over scraps.

just because UCLA gets out recruited by USC isnt an indictment on UCLAs ability to bring in the type of recruits needed to win in the pac. UCLA literally got the #1 overall player last year and routinely brings in top 15 classes. hell, mora even had some top 10 classes. there are a lot of reasons why florida is a better job, but the lack of ability of the UCLA program to recruit big time players is not one of them
